Advancing the research, education, and treatment of mastocytosis and related mast cell diseases.

The mission of the American Initiative in Mast Cell Diseases (AIM) is to advance the research, education, and treatment of mastocytosis and related mast cell diseases. As mast cell disorders are rare diseases, there is not a clinical or research conference in the Americas dedicated to the gathering of specialists to share clinical, translational, or basic research findings relevant to this patient population. AIM has addressed this unmet need by creating a network consisting of Centers of Excellence and Reference Centers in the United States, Canada, Central, and South America. This network collaborates closely with The Mastocytosis Society (TMS) and the European Network on Mastocytosis (ECNM), which has centers established throughout Europe, and serves as a blueprint for AIM.

Steering Committee

The steering committee consists of the five founding members of the American Initiative in Mast Cell Diseases (AIM). This is a multidisciplinary group of physician investigators with many years of experience in mast cell diseases who are passionate about treatment, research and education for both patients and health care providers.
